Every bit of my unique background and education serves the educational experiences of college students. My advising practice guides multicultural college students to the academic and career success they define. Academic advising provides a threshold through which students travel during college; its outcome has implications on their personal and career development for years.
Each day is an opportunity to be and better, placing greater focus on cultivating a self-reflective practice full of curiosity, care, and compassion. Initially this website was a blog to compare textbook knowledge with real world application through graduate school. It helped me build ideas for publication and presentation. Working towards obtaining my Ph.D. in Educational Psychology, I write to support and challenge the treatment of emerging college student populations. To craft pieces that disrupt deficit-based education and pedagogical practices. Not afraid to change, only to be the same, such writings are the very Wilds of Learning. |
